Evaluating treatment fidelity of the Incredible Years BASIC Parenting Programme.- Catrin Eames

For my Ph.D., supervised by Prof. Judy Hutchings and Dr. Carl Hughes, Dr. Dave Daley as Chair. I have developed the Leader Observation Tool (LOT). This is a process skills measure of treatment fidelity for the IY BASIC Parenting Programme. The LOT produces scores of variety of leader behaviours.

I used the LOT to code leader behaviour in a sample parent group sessions taken from the twelve groups in the Sure Start study. Positive leader behaviours predicted change in child behavour. Similar although weaker, relationships were indicated between leader behaviours and self-reported change in parenting.
